Arrive at Dimapur, pick up outside the station and we head for Kohima to our homestay/hotels.
After breakfast depart to the Hornbill Festival Venue. This is one of the Largest indigenous festival organised by the State Govt. Of Nagaland to promote tourism in the State. In this festival you will witnessed all the tribes coming together and display their cultures, dances, music and create an extravaganza of festivities. The festival is named after the forest dwelling Indian hornbill.
After breakfast we head towards India’s fist green village “Khonoma” which is an hour drive from Kohima. Around 1990’s the village has renounced their hunting lifestyle and adopted agricultural practices. There is a rich history to be soaked in the village.

After Lunch we will visit the beautiful Dzuleke village which constitutes about 200 households, which gets its name from the river Dzüleke that runs through it. ‘Dzü’ means water and ‘leke’ means underground in local language. We explore the vast flora and fauna of the village. And head back to Kohima
After having breakfast we will start our trek to the Dzükou Valley from Viswema trek route with our local guide. We arrive at the base camp and pitch our tents and seat near the bonfire, freshly prepared dinner will be served . Overnight stay at Dzükou Valley.
After breakfast we come down from the valley to the Homestay freshen up and rest for the day.
After breakfast we head to Kohima town do local marketing,visit Kohima Cathedral and Kohima World War 2 Cemetery. And head back to kisama and spend the rest of the day at Hornbill festival.
After having our breakfast we pack up and leave to Dimapur station.
